«Faneto» es un término que el rapero estadounidense Chief Keef utiliza para titular una de sus canciones, que en su argot significa finesse (finura). En un rasgo distintivo de la cultura del hip hop en las últimas generaciones, la apropiación de materiales y marcas de lujo por parte de raperos que generalmente provienen de entornos suburbanos, para incorporarlas a su propia estética, se ha convertido en un código en el cual existe una mezcla de ironía, subversión y culto a lo material.

En «Faneto» nos encontramos ésa idea llevada a diferentes terrenos artísticos, en los que los artistas «visten» sus obras en soportes inicialmente alejados de sus raíces urbanas; Martí Sawe con una serie de esculturas de hierro, Abel Iglesias con una instalación con textiles, luces y pinturas. 2shy presenta tapices, y Paul Loubet mezcla pintura y tinta textil hinchable para serigrafía.
