Conocimos a Sanez en Monterrey, allá por el 2010, cuando trabajó en un muro con El Mac, en la primera edición de Seres Queridos.
Su estilo es absolutamente característico, y su procedencia se adivina al primer vistazo. Se reconoce Mexico en sus colores y en sus formas, en los detalles de sus pinturas y en las figuras que representa; ahí están los animales, las intrigantes tramas de líneas y personajes que se entretejen de una manera casi ritual. De una manera sorprendente, el artista lleva la estética de lo tradicional y supersticioso a la actualidad, en una curiosa mezcla de graffitti, caligrafía, ilustración y otras influencias, que resulta igualmente misteriosa y familiar para el espectador.
We met Sanez in Monterrey, back in 2010, when he worked painting a wall with El Mac, in the first edition of Loved Ones.
His style is quite characteristic, and its origin is recognised at first eye contact. Mexico is deep recognising in its colors and shapes, in the details of his paintings and figures represented; there are animals, intriguing patterns of lines and characters that mixes in an almost ritual manner. In a surprising way, the artist brings back the aesthetics of traditional and superstitious, in a curious mix of graffitti, calligraphy, illustration and other influences, which is equally mysterious and familiar to the viewer.
